Thornwake Manor was built by Alistair Thornwake, a collector of what he called "unlucky heirlooms" — a child's scorched music box, a widow's unworn wedding dress, a soldier's letters never sent.
Among Thornwake's acquisitions was a fortune-telling automaton he called Monsieur Morrowen. After it arrived, things in the manor began to change. Objects that once held meaning started to feel wrong. Hollow. Present but empty. Morrowen had been fed on for a long time before anyone understood what it was — or what it needed.
You are a child. Morrowen's carnival brought you here. The manor is full of things he needs you to collect — objects soaked in old feeling, left behind by people who couldn't take them when they went. Get them out. Don't let the Minions notice what you're carrying. Try to leave.
